39 weeks!

Wow!  One week from today is my baby girl's due date!  I can't wait to meet her.  Lately she has been moving a foot, elbow, some appendage around on my left side and it feels so neat.  Still catches me off guard and makes me laugh.  The other night she was moving pretty good, so we put Nathan's phone on my stomach playing some music and it was so cool to see the phone start moving up and down on my belly.  We definately made a memory---and just in case you wondered Mallorie likes the fast music just like her mama!

I have gained 33 lbs total so far- we will see tomorrow if I add to that.  As of last week I have not made any progress.  She is at a -1 head station (which from what I understood is pretty low---even though it doesn't look like it).  My next appointment is tomorrow morning---I can't wait!  Mallorie is the size of a watermelon this week (my favorite)!

38 Weeks!

Wow! 14 days from today I could be meeting my little girl.  I have my doctor's appointment tomorrow and hopefully will get more of an idea of when she will make her appearance.  Thoughts running through my head right now:

  • Will I go into labor on my own?
  • Will I need to be induced?
  • When is the best time to be induced?
  • Have I dilated at all?
  • I can't wait to meet you!
  • Are you going to look more like me or more like Nathan or a good mix?
  • Will I even be able to tell who you look like?----I can never tell on other babies who I think they look like.lol
A big thanks to my family for listening to probably what feels like to them the same conversation for the 1,000 time.  I am just one of those people who has to talk things out to get mentally prepared.

Date night to Freebirds---if you haven't stopped by there to try their brownie---YOU NEED TO!

37 Weeks!

 Her nursery is complete!

The blue part will come out of the pink frame and that is where we will put pictures.

Last baby shower thrown by our church.  It was wonderful.  Thank you!

Mom and Aunt Cindy and I at the shower.

Quick tidbit on my shirt:  Who knew this T-shirt would serve 2 purposes.  One- My sweet sister brought me this shirt back from Africa—how cool!  Two- I don’t have to give any verbal warning about my movement. Elephant crossing---You better believe it! Keep growing strong Miss Mallorie.
How far along? 37 weeks
How big is baby? About the size of a winter melon
Total weight gain? 31 pounds
Sleep?  Hit and miss.  I am waking up in the night because my arm/hands keep falling asleep.
Best moment of the week? Feeling like we are completely ready for baby girl to get here. Hanging out with Nathan…  We have had the most fun spending time together the last couple of weeks.
Food cravings? Yesterday I really wanted a Dr. Pepper…so I thought I would just drink half of one.  Well that half was so delicious I went back to the fridge and finished off the can.
Food aversions? None.
Symptoms:  Same as the last couple of weeks.  Lots of Braxton hicks contractions, numbness/tingling in hands/arm, low back pain if I stand for too long.
Mood this week: Happy and anxious.
Movement: Mallorie is still pretty mellow.  Just feel swishes mostly.  Grannie got to feel Mallorie this week (I think she had the hiccups)---it was a very special moment!  I didn’t think that Mallorie had turned yet, so at my last appt. I asked and they said that she was head down (horray for that).  When she is kicking I now feel her on my left side.  Her big body parts are still on the right side where they have been all pregnancy.
What I’m looking forward to: The moment that I actually go into labor.
Next appointment: tomorrow

36 Weeks!

Happy 4th of July! Let the countdown begin!  Only 4 weeks left until my due date.  Wow!  We took maternity pictures this morning and I think they went perfect!  The weather was great.  We go to the doctor tomorrow afternoon for a check-up----can't wait to hear Mallorie's heartbeat again!  Symptoms:  low back pain, numbness/tingling in hands/arms at night when I am sleeping and in the morning when I wake up.  Her nursery is completely done except for the recliner (which should be ready by the end of this week hopefully).  Just patiently waiting for her arrival.

Please pray for my sister and her husband and the rest of his family as they will be traveling back to the U.S. today! Here are some new pictures of Remi and Roen so that as soon as Lauri gets internet access she can see her boys. We have had such a blast taking care of them, and are going to be in complete withdrawal when they have to go back home.

We took the boys to the best Snocone place in the world yesterday.  Grannie and Pa used to take us kids there all the time when we were little.  It is still my favorite and I still get the same flavor...half blue raspberry/rock n roll.  The boys loved it too!
